Trident Consulting is seeking a " Sr. Network Engineer, Implementation " for one of our clients in " Dallas, TX

Title: Sr. Network Engineer, Implementation

Location: Dallas, TX

Fulltime

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and provide support for all network-related hardware/software
  • Assist with defining the objectives of network implementations including developing and reviewing proposals and presentations by collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.
  • Installing and configuring networking hardware/Virtual Networking equipment.
  • Undertake any network projects and strive to deliver within the deadline. Document technical details of the project and comply with the organization s Professional services Workflow.
  • Participate and engage in internal and external calls with peers and clients.
  • Managing and mentoring junior Network Engineering staff.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • Bachelor s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience with exposure in product organizations
  • CCNP
  • Advance routing and switching knowledge. Expert in Cisco Nexus switching, BGP and OSPF protocols.
  • Ability to design enterprise networks.
  • Knowledge and experience in public cloud technologies - AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure
  • Expert in Palo Alto firewalls. Global Protect design and implementation with certificates, VPNs, Failover, SSL decryption, content filtering etc.
  • FortiGate and Cisco FTD experience
  • Experience with Cisco traditional and SDWAN routers, catalyst, and Nexus switches
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building and managing expectations.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Sharp attention to detail with proven analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Effective time management and excellent prioritization skills

Bonus points if you have:

  • CCIE a plus
  • Experience with Sonicwall N/W devices
  • Financial Services Industry experience

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in an independent environment with moderate supervision
  • Ability to work under a moderate noise level (i.e. working on an open floor with printers, telephones, and computers)
  • Ability to travel for business and work beyond normal business hours when necessary
  • Ability to be flexible and successfully respond to multiple work pressures
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components
