Join Fiserv's dynamic Hardware Engineering team as a Hardware Configuration Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our next-generation POS devices. You'll lead global Configuration Management (CM) and Product Data Management (PDM) efforts, owning the ECR process, managing product data in Arena PLM, and driving hardware excellence from NPI through full production. If you thrive on cross-functional collaboration, certification readiness (EMVCo, PCI/PTS), and meticulous document control, this is your opportunity to make a direct impact on the devices powering payments around the world.

What you will do:

  • Manage and maintain the configuration of hardware products throughout their lifecycle, from concept through production and end-of-life.
  • Administer and track all Hardware Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) / Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) within the Arena PLM system.
  • Control and update Bill of Materials (BOMs), drawings, specifications, and product documentation in alignment with change management policies.
  • Own and optimize all phases of document control and hardware configuration management, ensuring version control, traceability, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers to resolve missing data, BOM discrepancies, and ensure conformance to Mastercard Terminal Quality Management (TQM) requirements.
  • Coordinate and support hardware certifications, including EMVCo (Level 1 Contact/Contactless) and PCI PIN Transaction Security (PTS).
  • Prepare, coordinate, and lead TQM audit events with internal stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Identify, track, and close certification issues, audit findings, and open items with proactive follow-through.
  • Provide cross-functional support across Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and Product Management to ensure successful hardware delivery and regulatory compliance.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of experience and education, including military service).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in configuration management, PLM, engineering change management, document control, or similar fields.
  • Proficient with PLM tools, especially Arena PLM, and a deep understanding of ECR/ECO processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing hardware lifecycle processes from NPI through mass production.
  • Strong understanding of payment devices or similar hardware devices and Hardware launch processes.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Effective communicator with experience working across global teams and manufacturing partners.

What would be great to have:

  • Hands-on experience with Arena PLM, including ECR/ECO workflows and reporting.
  • Familiarity with hardware certification processes and audit preparation.

How you'll work:

  • Fiserv emphasizes in-person collaboration to help you grow your career while shaping the future of fintech. This role is on-site.
  • This role requires occasional international travel.

Sponsorship:

  • In order to be considered, you must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
