They have locations in Las Vegas, Denver, Dallas, and Utah but ideally need to be in the Dallas area.

Must be able to work on your own, jack of all trades, use snowflake, Power BI, and Sigma (preferred or similar). In this role, you will be doing reporting on adhoc spreadsheets and want to automate, track KPI's, etc. to track revenue. Must have experience with API's.

The Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for the development, maintenance, and adoption of business intelligence software internally. These responsibilities include working with team leaders to build dashboards and reports they can use to make data-driven decisions and will serve as the primary technical resource for our business intelligence software stack, providing design and development deliverables. This person must have a passion for participating in building solutions from the ground up as well as the ability to support existing analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, design, and maintain BI reports and dashboards to deliver insights that drive optimal performance decision-making.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Conduct detailed data analysis and provide insights to support strategic operational decisions.

Optimize data intake, transformation, and visualizations to ensure efficient use of cloud hosting while also ensuring performance and scalability.

Stay up to date with the latest features and industry trends related to the tools in business intelligence tech stack.

Enable self-service analytics throughout the company by supporting the business with tools, training, and expertise.

Support the monitoring and management of projects and initiatives including accountability for scope, risks, timelines, and communications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any data or performance issues related to BI reports.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for BI processes, reports, and dashboards.

Minimum Requirement

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or comparable experience
  • Typically requires around 3+ years' experience in data analysis and BI development

Critical Skills

3+ years experience in database management systems such as Snowflake or Azure Data Warehouse; SQL Server or Oracle a plus

3+ years of experience with tools such as Looker, Tableau, Sigma, PowerBI, Fivetran, & Rivery.

1+ years of experience with Python scripting.

Ability to interface with both technical and business resources

Ability to manage and prioritize many diverse technical tasks

  • Self-directed with proven care for managing sensitive data assets who enjoys being challenged
  • Must be comfortable and proficient in working with large and/or complex databases
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure a plus.
