Data Analyst Team Lead
Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide a team of Data Analysts in performing critical data investigations arising from client inquiries, internal quality checks, and routine data analyses.
  • Data Investigations and Analyses:
    • Lead the team in conducting thorough data investigations based on client questions, internal quality checks, and ad-hoc analysis needs.
    • Perform standard data analyses and comparisons with other sources to ensure data integrity.
  • Complex Problem Solving:
    • Deeply understand the intricacies of our data architecture and ecosystem.
    • Untangle complex data structures, identify discrepancies, and provide effective solutions.
  • Data Architecture Enhancement:
    • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to recommend enhancements to our data architecture.
    • Champion initiatives to fortify data structures against future challenges.
  • Rule Development and Amendment:
    • Develop a profound understanding of existing business rules governing data.
    • Create new rules and amend existing ones to ensure data accuracy and alignment with business goals.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Develop comprehensive documentation of current processes and data structures.
    • Establish standard operating procedures and ensure strict compliance within the team.
  • Mentorship and Monitoring:
    • Mentor and guide Data Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Monitor the work and progress of the team, providing constructive feedback for professional development.

Requirements

  • Data Analysis Expertise:
    • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, with a focus on complex datasets and intricate data architectures.
    • Proficiency in utilizing tools such as SQL, Python, or other scripting languages for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Data Architecture Mastery:
    • In-depth understanding of data structures, database systems, and data modeling.
    • Proven ability to navigate and optimize complex data ecosystems.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Solid experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau, for conveying complex findings to diverse audiences.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and experience working with large-scale datasets.
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Proven ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Project Management Skills:
    • Experience in managing projects related to data analysis, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

Preferred

  • Healthcare Data Understanding:
    • Familiarity with healthcare data sets, including claims data, provider network files, and related regulatory requirements.
    • Experience in extracting valuable insights from healthcare-related data is highly desirable.
