Job Details
OneSparQ is looking for a Technical Engineering Manager for a financial services firm. This role is fully remote.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and support distributed teams of offshore software engineers across multiple time zones.
- Stay hands-on with development using the LAMP stack, setting technical standards and reinforcing high code quality.
- Work closely with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs, ensuring stable and reliable applications.
- Own the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and design through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support.
- Manage and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, automated releases.
- Collaborate with Product and QA teams to align priorities, define scope, and deliver on time.
- Establish and enforce best practices around code quality, testing, and application security.
- Configure and manage Jira Software to support agile workflows, sprint planning, and clear reporting.
- Partner with leadership to drive technical strategy, make architecture decisions, and support team growth.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) technology stack
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading software developers' remote and offshore teams
- Prior experience working in the fintech or B2B lending industry
- Strong experience with API development
