Job Title: Application Developer I

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Application Developer I to join our client to enhance and support enterprise-scale data warehouse operations. This hybrid, contract-to-hire role based in Philadelphia, PA requires 2 3 years of experience in SQL development and data integration. The developer will be responsible for designing and maintaining ETL/ELT solutions, optimizing queries, and ensuring the accuracy and availability of data that drives business decisions. This is an opportunity to contribute to both ongoing production stability and new development initiatives within a collaborative Agile environment.

Work Schedule:
Monday Friday, standard business hours
Onsite Tuesday Thursday, remote Monday and Friday

Key Responsibilities of the Application Developer I:
Build, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT processes to support data integration within the warehouse environment.
Develop and refine SQL queries to enable efficient reporting, analytics, and performance tuning.
Partner with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into reliable, scalable technical solutions.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and schedule daily data jobs while ensuring data quality and system stability.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies and collaborate on both maintenance activities and moderate new development projects.

Qualifications and Skills for the Application Developer I:
2 3 years of experience in application or database development, preferably within a data warehouse setting.
Proven SQL expertise with the ability to write, test, and optimize complex queries.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT development and data integration techniques.
Familiarity with relational databases such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
Exposure to cloud platforms, with Google Cloud/BigQuery experience strongly preferred.
Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux operating environments and scheduling tools.
Strong problem-solving abilities and collaborative communication skills.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience working with healthcare data is beneficial but not required.
