RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Product Experience Strategist to manage software product initiatives within the commercial software division at Company. This is a hybrid position and open to Spring, TX or Fort Collins, CO.
Overview:
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of product management, IT administration, and user experience-someone who can champion the voice of the IT admin while driving product excellence across multiple business units. While product teams often focus on end-user experience, this role ensures that IT administrators-who are responsible for deploying and managing these products-are equally considered. You'll serve as a bridge between product design and IT operations, helping internal teams understand how products are supported, deployed, and experienced in real-world enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own and drive product strategy for software applications deployed on commercial PCs
* Act as an IT Admin Ambassador, representing IT personas in product planning and decision-making
* Collaborate across engineering, design, and business teams to align on product goals and execution
* Make strategic decisions on release timing, roadmap priorities, and feature readiness
* Champion and evolve product frameworks, ensuring consistency and scalability across business units
* Lead internal and vendor-driven projects, ensuring delivery on scope, time, and budget
* Participate in customer-facing meetings and internal stakeholder discussions to advocate for IT manageability
Day-to-Day Activities:
* Lead product management efforts with a focus on IT manageability and enterprise deployment
* Own specific product experiences and evaluate them through the lens of IT administrators
* Serve as a litmus test for how IT teams will support and interact with the product
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support readiness
REQUIREMENTS:
* University degree required (Advanced degree a plus); PMP certification preferred
* 5-10 years of experience in software product management (not program or project management)
* Experience working in commercial enterprise software-ideally in the PC client space
* Strong background in IT manageability, particularly in Windows client environments
* Deep understanding of IT admin workflows; prior IT admin experience is a strong plus
* Skilled in Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration
* Confident communicator who can engage with executives and engineers alike
* Takes initiative, backs up decisions with data, and thrives in dynamic environments
