Job Details
Project Manager (Telecom) -
Assume full ownership of project management execution and serve as single point of contact (POC) for project/customer stakeholders.
Conduct project kick-off meetings and status meetings; identify additional responsibilities and manage changes impacting timelines or costs.
Provide weekly status reporting and coordinate all required tasks, including scheduling customer technicians or third parties.
Act as lead POC for all project activities and first-level escalation for project-related issues.
Coordinate delivery of RUCKUS switches and APs to customer location and work with low-voltage cabling contractors.
Coordinate with RUCKUS on engineering/design specifications and verify correct installation of switches and APs per specifications.
Cooperate with ASM and Boingo Wireless to ensure smooth transition from Boingo Wi-Fi System to Soldier Field Wi-Fi System, including tracking equipment de-installation and installation.
Assist with creating service levels and SOPs for ongoing management of Soldier Field Wi-Fi System.
Conduct project close-out meetings and provide Project Closure Report.
Provide onsite engineering support for up to nine NFL games and five live events during the first year.
Monitor network performance via Airwave or Central Dashboard; develop summary reports and recommendations.
Implement network adjustments based on performance; monitor onboarding and band steering.
Perform ticket entry fixed position surveys, premium area surveys, and post-event recommendations for system improvements (e.g., power, channel, data rates, beacon rates, RF groups).
Verify equipment, monitor system performance, perform speed tests, and remediate rogue RF signal sources.
Services performed during business hours (Mon Fri, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM local time); assumes full stadium access and no permits required.
Coordinate kick-off meeting, manage scope, duration, and resource responsibilities; changes may impact service levels and fees.
Work with customer's stakeholders to define engagement communications plan and stakeholder matrix.
Ensure suitable work areas and access to equipment at customer facilities.
Schedule onsite services in contiguous date ranges; manage time and attendance for resources.
Required qualifications: Project management experience with Wi-Fi, AT&T, and RUCKUS; onsite engineering support experience.
