Title: Digital Payments Software Engineer
Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Compensation: $50 - $60/hr.

Overview
We re seeking a mid-level Software Development Engineer to help build scalable, secure digital payment platforms in a high-performing Agile team. This role is perfect for someone with solid backend development experience who enjoys hands-on coding, problem solving, and working closely with product teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using .NET Core/C# to support digital payments features.
- Build and consume APIs and microservices within a cloud-first architecture (Azure).
- Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and product owners to implement high-quality solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code with attention to performance, security, and scalability.
- Support integrations with payment platforms such as Stripe, Adyen, Fiserv, or similar.
- Use Azure DevOps, App Insights, and Service Bus to manage deployments, monitor performance, and improve system observability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and work as part of a cross-functional Scrum team.
- Conduct unit testing and contribute to test automation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in backend development with .NET Core and C#.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including App Insights, Service Bus, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with integrating payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Fiserv) is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and secure software practices.
- Experience with Agile development processes and tools like Jira or Azure Boards.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
