Position: AV Media Technical Specialist
Location: Boston, MA

Job Description
This is a handson AV support role (1 3 years experience) primarily in educational or facultyfacing environments, delivering executivelevel support for VIP and Town Hall events. It requires strong proficiency with Crestron, Extron, Cisco/Neat Bar and ServiceNow, hybrid Zoom/Teams setups, troubleshooting live amphitheater-style events (Mac/PC/WiFi/adapters), and working independently in sensitive medical or biology lab settings. The ideal candidate is detailoriented, proactive, professional, adaptable, and comfortable navigating faculty service dynamics with discretion.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Professional appearance (business casual or all-black attire)
  • Strong communication and urgency in VIP and Townhall settings
  • Experience with hybrid AV events (Zoom, Teams), amphitheater setups, and troubleshooting live presentations
  • Self-starter with 1 3 years of AV experience, ideally in higher education
  • Familiarity with Crestron, Extron, Cisco/NEAT Bar, ServiceNow
  • Tier 1/Tier 2 support mindset (not repair/integration)
  • Able to work independently without hand-holding
  • Comfortable in medical/biology lab environments (e.g., cadavers)
  • High attention to detail and adaptability with AV systems and connectivity (Mac/PC, Wi-Fi, adapters)
