Position: Sr. Electrical Engineer Power Electronics Test & Validation
Location: SFO, CA
Work Mode: 100% Onsite
Responsibilities
- Apply strong understanding of power electronics topologies and control in design and testing.
- Review schematics, PCB designs, calculations, and simulations for power electronics converters.
- Conduct verification and validation tests for power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and requirements.
- Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of power electronics systems using lab equipment (battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Analyze root causes of power electronics issues and drive R&D activities independently.
- Prepare technical documentation and effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Top 3 Required Hard Skills
- Strong understanding of power electronics topologies and control.
- 5+ year s hands-on experience with testing, verification, and troubleshooting of power electronics systems, including lab equipment usage.
- 5+ years experience with technical writing and clear communication of complex engineering concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in power electronics development and testing.
- Solid understanding of power electronics fundamentals.
- Knowledge of automotive requirements.
