Job Details

Position: Sr. Electrical Engineer Power Electronics Test & Validation
Location: SFO, CA
Work Mode: 100% Onsite

Responsibilities

  • Apply strong understanding of power electronics topologies and control in design and testing.
  • Review schematics, PCB designs, calculations, and simulations for power electronics converters.
  • Conduct verification and validation tests for power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and requirements.
  • Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of power electronics systems using lab equipment (battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, oscilloscopes, etc.).
  • Analyze root causes of power electronics issues and drive R&D activities independently.
  • Prepare technical documentation and effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Top 3 Required Hard Skills

  1. Strong understanding of power electronics topologies and control.
  2. 5+ year s hands-on experience with testing, verification, and troubleshooting of power electronics systems, including lab equipment usage.
  3. 5+ years experience with technical writing and clear communication of complex engineering concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
