Job Details

Scope of Work

The Solution Architect will play a key role in the modernization of judicial information systems, with a specific focus on:

  • Upgrading SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2022
  • Ensuring database compliance and data encryption
  • Supporting system re-engineering efforts
  • Enhancing database security, performance, and availability

Technical Responsibilities

  • Migrate database objects across different environments and regions
  • Configure and maintain SQL database servers
  • Manage backup and restore processes
  • Monitor system health and ensure high availability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
  • Assist development teams with query optimization and support
  • Automate routine database tasks and processes
  • Conduct after-hours maintenance and support for deployments
  • Design, implement, and document Microsoft SQL Azure Databases, Managed Services, and AVS Instances

Qualifications Required:

  • Proven experience with SQL Server administration, migration, and upgrade projects
  • Expertise in database security and compliance (including data encryption)
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning and automation
  • Ability to document and implement cloud-based database solutions

Preferred:

  • Experience working with government or criminal justice systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Database services
