Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing IT security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our systems and networks from potential threats, implementing and maintaining security tools, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and monitor security measures to protect systems, networks, and data.

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.

  • Respond to and manage security incidents and breaches, including root cause analysis and remediation.

  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.

  • Monitor security alerts and logs from various sources (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools).

  • Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure secure design and implementation of systems.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and others.

  • Research emerging threats and provide recommendations to enhance security posture.

  • Train and support staff on cybersecurity best practices and awareness.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

  • 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related roles.

Certifications (preferred):

  • CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, or equivalent.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and endpoint protection.

  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and incident response tools.

  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and cloud security principles.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
