Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced SolarWinds Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep, multi-suite knowledge to lead initiatives related to their SolarWinds environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the Microsoft stack and be capable of providing expert-level guidance, implementation, and optimization across the full SolarWinds suite of products. This is an onsite role requiring a hands-on expert to support critical infrastructure monitoring and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the entire SolarWinds suite of products.
  • Provide expert-level support, configuration, and troubleshooting for all SolarWinds modules.
  • Optimize SolarWinds deployments to ensure peak performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Integrate SolarWinds with the Microsoft stack (e.g., Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory).
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of SolarWinds configurations and processes.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to internal IT teams.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues within the SolarWinds environment.
  • Ensure the SolarWinds environment adheres to best practices and security standards.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their monitoring and management needs.
  • Customize and create reports, alerts, and dashboards to meet specific business requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive and deep expertise in multiple SolarWinds suites.
  • Proven experience as a SolarWinds SME in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft stack, including:
  • Windows Server
  • SQL Server
  • Active Directory
  • In-depth knowledge of network monitoring, server monitoring, application monitoring, and other IT infrastructure monitoring principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SolarWinds certifications.
  • Experience with database administration (SQL Server).
  • Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell).
  • Experience with other monitoring tools.
