RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Project Manager - Data in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Data & Analytics projects ensuring quality delivery, within expected timelines & approved budgets from requirement definition through design, development, testing, rollout, and support
* Oversee the requirements delivery, design, development, testing, and deployment of data architectures, databases, and analytics solutions leveraging Azure Cloud Data Lake, Databricks, and related tools
* Create and maintain information technology project plans that communicate tasks, milestone dates, dependencies, critical paths, status, and resource allocation
* Perform project planning and sizing activities, identify resource requirements, and oversee a cross functional team capable of producing specified deliverables
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and end-users, to define project requirements and deliverables
* Manage project risks, issues, interdependencies, and dependencies, proactively addressing challenges to minimize impact
* Manage a RAID log on an ongoing basis and facilitate risk mitigation, issue resolution and action planning to manage interdependencies
* Ensure proper integration of Data & Analytics capabilities with other business applications and systems
* Work closely with developers, consultants, and third-party vendors to implement system customizations and enhancements
* Monitor project performance and report progress to senior management and stakeholders
* Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews
* Develop and maintain a project budget sheet and track project financials at weekly and monthly intervals
* Develop and execute a communications plan to identify and communicate major milestones and risks to achieving those milestones in a positive manner
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Project Management, or a related field
* 10+ years in IT project management with a focus on Data and Analytics projects
* Prior experience leading end-to-end project management for data and analytics initiatives, including scoping, planning & analysis, execution (incl testing), monitoring, and closure
* Prior experience creating work breakdown structures with milestones and dependencies so that the critical path is identified and tracked
* Prior experience managing project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation while achieving desired outcomes
* Experience developing useful project metrics and applying those metrics
* Advanced problem solving and decision-making skills: Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and make sound decisions
* Advanced written and oral communication skills with proven ability to deliver clear messages, set expectations, and build relationships with all groups, even when delivering a tough message
* Strong familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management methodologies. Prior experience as a Scrum Master
* Strong proficiency in MS Project and similar project management tools
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
* Proficiency with other agile work management tools such as JIRA, etc.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
* Ability to inspire and motivate project teams, foster collaboration and resolve conflicts
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
