Overview:

Under the supervision of a senior developer/manager, this role is responsible for designing and specifying information systems solutions to address basic to complex problems or enhancements. The developer will participate in evaluating client requirements and processes, developing application environments, and working across diverse platforms, software, hardware, technologies, and tools. The role also involves providing day-to-day support and contributing to special projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform systems analysis, design, and development for tasks of basic to intermediate complexity.
  • Serve as an individual contributor on project teams.
  • Assist clients in addressing issues/problems across a broad scope.
  • Recommend feasible solutions to technical and business problems.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and technology teams during system and integrated testing for small to medium projects or project phases.
  • Prepare test data and execute detailed test plans.
  • Participate in debugging activities as needed.
  • Evaluate and understand system interrelationships and their effects on interfacing applications.
  • Develop clear and complete technical and functional specifications for small to medium initiatives.
  • Update and maintain system documentation.
  • Create charts, diagrams, and tables to assist in analysis; may contribute to logic flowcharts.
  • Develop assessments and task plans, including required steps, estimated timelines, and effort for assignments.
  • Recommend new technologies, policies, or processes to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Provide consultation services to clients, technicians, and business departments on supported applications, including capabilities, operational procedures, forms, and cost analyses.
  • Adhere to the company s risk and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with policies and controls. Escalate risk-related issues to management when necessary.
  • Support a work environment that values diversity and reflects the company s brand.
  • Maintain internal control standards, including implementing internal/external audit recommendations and addressing regulatory issues.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.

Education & Experience Required

  • Knowledge of the system development life cycle (SDLC) and application development methodologies.
  • Experience with development tools, application support software, and hardware platforms.
  • General understanding of personal computers and enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new technical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail with sound judgment and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across various assignments.
