Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Azure

Location: Alpharetta, GA / Berkeley Heights, NJ (Onsite 5 days, M-F)
Type: Full Time/W2 with Infinite Computer Solutions

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to design, implement, and manage cloud-native infrastructure in support of large-scale enterprise systems. The role involves infrastructure automation, DevOps practices, infrastructure optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, security, and operational reliability of Azure environments.

Required Skillsets:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing, automating, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Strong experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for Infrastructure automation and tooling.
  • Deep understanding of Azure core services, including networking, compute, storage, identity, and security.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for infrastructure and application delivery.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and/or Linux OS internals, networking, and system administration.
  • Familiarity with Azure security tools like Defender for Cloud, Azure Security Center, and Key Vault.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to incident resolution.

Good to Have Skillsets:

  • Experience with multi-cloud environments, especially Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
  • Exposure to financial services, healthcare, or regulated industries with compliance requirements (e.g., SOC2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
  • Experience deploying or managing AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) and containerized workloads.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Landing Zones, enterprise-scale blueprints, or Hub-Spoke architecture.
  • Familiarity with GitOps, Ansible, Chef, or Packer.
  • Certifications such as:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • Azure Administrator Associate
    • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
  • Experience in leading cloud infrastructure projects

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy secure, scalable, and cost-optimized Azure infrastructure using services like Azure VNet, VM, AKS, Azure Storage, Azure AD, and Azure Functions.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates to automate provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud resources.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools to enable automated deployments and infrastructure updates.
  • Enforce cloud security best practices, compliance controls, and governance frameworks, including RBAC, encryption, and Azure Policy.
  • Collaborate with application development, DevOps, and security teams to design and deploy cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and cost using Azure Monitor, Azure Advisor, and Cost Management tools.
  • Evaluate and integrate new Azure services or third-party tools to enhance performance and developer agility.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, and reusable templates to support onboarding and platform consistency.
