Key Responsibilities
- Production Support & Incident Management:
- Monitor (workflows, sessions) through tools like , , or .
- Diagnose and resolve failed jobs, data loading issues, and system errors in real-time or scheduled runs.
- Handle escalations from managers or clients, providing timely resolutions.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring problems.
- Maintenance & Optimization:
- Tune and workflows for better performance and efficiency.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure data quality and completeness.
- Implement minor enhancements or bug fixes in existing ETL code.
- Manage load balancing for ETL services.
- Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work with business analysts, DBAs, and testers to understand issues and coordinate fixes.
- Create and update technical documentation, data mappings, and process flow diagrams.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to development standards.
- Operational Tasks:
- Schedule and manage batch jobs.
- Execute production migrations and code deployments.
- Generate daily/weekly status reports for management and clients.
Core Skills & Tools
- Informatica Tools: Designer, Repository Manager, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud.
- Databases: Strong SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata).
- Scripting/OS: Basic Linux/Unix knowledge.
- Scheduling Tools: Control-M, Autosys
- Ticketing/Agile Tools: JIRA, Servicenow
