Job Title: IS Senior Project Manager
Location: Maricopa County, AZ - Primarily Remote (Local Candidates Preferred for Occasional On-Site Needs)
Duration: Contract (Duration based on project scope and needs)
Job Description:
An experienced IS Senior Project Manager is needed to lead and manage large, complex technology projects with cross-organizational impact. This role will be responsible for maintaining full control over project scope, schedule, and budget, while ensuring high-quality project delivery in line with standardized project management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Lead the end-to-end implementation of enterprise-level technology projects and programs.
Prepare comprehensive project documentation including proposals, charters, work breakdown structures, and detailed project plans.
Utilize Microsoft Project for all project planning and scheduling activities.
Maintain and regularly update project status reports, timelines, and risk/issue logs.
Allocate and monitor project resources effectively to ensure task completion.
Oversee project scope, manage risks, and resolve issues promptly to avoid project delays.
Track and monitor multimillion-dollar budgets, managing both internal teams and external vendors/consultants.
Create and present detailed reports to executive leadership, project stakeholders, and team members.
Ensure adherence to change control, quality assurance, and project governance policies.
Monitor vendor performance to confirm contract compliance and deliverables.
Maintain accurate historical project documentation.
Communicate effectively with executive leadership and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Prepare updates and communications for executive steering committees.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on project management experience.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Project and standard project management methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage large budgets and vendor relationships.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Additional Information:
This is a primarily remote position, but occasional on-site presence may be required.
Additional project support may be required across multiple initiatives.
