Job Title: Senior Payroll Analyst - TEMP
Location: Southlake, TX
Duration: 2 Months (Short-Term Contract)
Pay Rate: $35-$40/hour

Job Summary
A short-term opportunity for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Analyst to lead payroll data analysis, reporting, and compliance efforts. This role is responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, identifying trends, and supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. Ideal candidates will have deep knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and the ability to clearly interpret and communicate complex payroll data.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze payroll data to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies; recommend corrective actions.

Prepare and deliver detailed payroll reports for Finance, HR, and executive leadership.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Collaborate with payroll processing teams to support accurate and timely payroll execution.

Lead audits of payroll records and assist with internal and external audit processes.

Monitor and interpret changes in tax laws and labor regulations impacting payroll.

Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation of payroll software.

Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to track payroll performance and compliance.

Provide insights and recommendations to improve payroll processes and efficiency.

Mentor junior analysts and participate in cross-functional payroll projects.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in payroll analysis or payroll operations.

Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).

Solid understanding of payroll tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and compliance requirements.

Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Attributes

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification.

Experience with multi-state or international payroll.
