Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer specializing in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) to design, implement, and manage comprehensive DLP programs. The role involves defining standards, influencing product roadmaps, assessing and closing security gaps, and providing strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, cloud technologies, data engineering, and automation, along with experience in high-security, compliance-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement DLP programs, including defining standards and influencing technology roadmaps.
- Assess and identify gaps in security controls, processes, and systems, providing actionable recommendations.
- Design and execute data engineering solutions and pipelines, using SQL for ETL and analytics workflows.
- Automate processes using Unix/Linux shell scripting and Python scripting.
- Integrate and automate with tools such as Palo Alto NFGW, Palo Alto Cortex, and ForcePoint DLP.
- Collaborate in high-level solution design and architecture discussions.
- Contribute to cloud security strategy and architecture; ensure compliance with security frameworks.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, standards, and guidelines.
- Work within Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating across teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of professional experience in security engineering or related field.
- One of the following DoD 8570 certifications: Security+, CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CND.
- 3+ years of data engineering experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Strong experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting and automation.
- Advanced Python scripting skills.
- Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Proficiency with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Experience with Federal Government support and requirements.
- Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability management, penetration testing, and application security.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Federal Security Standards such as NIST and DoD.
- Understanding of FedRAMP Cloud Security Requirements.
