Maxonic maintains a close and long-term relationship with our direct client. In support of their needs, we are looking for an IT Support Engineer.

Job Description:

Job Title: IT Support Engineer

Job Type: Contract

Job Location: Chicago, IL

Work Schedule: Onsite 5 days a week, 11 am - 7 pm Central Time

Pay rate - $45/hrs- $50/hrs on W2 and $50/hrs -$60/hrs. C2c

Qualifications: Must Have

  • Experience with Okta, Google Workplace, Microsoft Admincenter, Macbook/Macbook Air troubleshooting, Dell/Lenovo Laptop troubleshooting, macOS, WindowsOS
  • Experience with Apple, Dell and Lenovo laptops for provisioning
  • ABM, Jamf, Intune
  • Independent worker who is organized, and can track their own work with a minimum supervision
  • Good communication skills in writing
  • Proactive for communicating blockers, asking questions
  • Self starter

Responsibilities:

  • Ticket handling (access request, remote troubleshooting etc) - responding to users, troubleshooting with users, escalation
  • Documentation (updating internal SOP docs)
  • Some in-office work (helping inventory organization, deskside support

Need:

  • Candidates who can demonstrate critical thinking skills with thoughtful examples. (someone who reviews support requests as an opportunity to ask questions and understand to escalate appropriately. Not just follow a script and close out tickets)
  • Candidates who value customer service and who have proven to be successful in this - Able to articulate frameworks and philosophies they use in regard to customer service with relevant examples.
  • Candidates who are more senior in their job responsibilities. (read senior as diverse experiences (rather than length in role) candidates who perhaps have done a mixture of sys. eng roles, project management roles, customer service lead who can translate that diverse experience and apply it to this role)
