Summary

Job Title: Senior SQL DBA

Duration: Full-time/Long Term Contract With potential extension

Location: Hybrid / Washington, DC

Description:

Must have a minimum of 8+ years experience in database management
The SMEs must have proficiency in the following database disciplines: MS SQL, SQL Server, SQL Cluster Environments, Maria DB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS Access.
The SMEs must be proficient in creating and managing standalone SQL and Oracle databases.
SMEs must be able to identify issues, perform server maintenance, install software patches, etc.
The SMEs must be able to work individually and as part of a team.
The must also be able to communicate with different levels of employees and management.
MS Access support, development and maintenance activities as needed.

Anticipated needs and work activities include:

Troubleshooting daily SQL Server and SQL Cluster issues. This includes system setups and configuration, error triage, etc.
Respond to Requests for Changes (RFC) assigned for maintenance as well as FootPrints requests related to GBIS.
Assisting users in creating and building SQL and Oracle databases. Troubleshooting issues related to SQL, Oracle, or MS Access as well as application related issues i.e. SharePoint and others as they relate to database development, support, and management.
