Job Duties
The Department of General Services (DGS) provides value to citizens, the Commonwealth, and businesses through a wide range of professional services, including procurement, engineering, facilities, and information systems. The Office of Information Systems and Security (ISS) support operational efficiency and technology management across all DGS divisions.
The Power Platform Developer is responsible for providing guidance, oversight, development, and technical support for the agency's Power Platform environment, and will work directly with customers to resolve problems and leverage the Power Platform's capabilities in support of business operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Power Platform administration, configuration, design and development.
Develop and maintain applications using Power Apps.
Automate business processes and workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
Create data visualization and reporting solutions using Power BI.
Integrate Power Platform Solutions with other Microsoft services and third-party applications.
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and secure.
Provide technical support and training to others.
Stay updated with the latest features and updates within the Microsoft Power Platform.
Other duties as assigned.

This position will be located in Richmond, Virginia and must report on-site. This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule (telework up to 2 days/week) upon completion of an approved telework agreement and performance period.
Minimum Qualifications
Extensive experience in the Microsoft Power Platform - MS PowerApps, MS Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI and Power virtual agents.
Experience in analysis, design development, testing and implementation of enterprise scale apps.
Experience developing new PowerApps model and canvas driven apps as well as enhancing existing apps.
Understanding PowerApps formulas and development methods.
Proven ability to create business processes and custom connectors for Microsoft Power Automate.
Experience in developing MS Power Automate scripts.
Strong understanding of PowerApps formulas and development methods.
Experience in Power Page Development.
Strong Knowledge of Microsoft enterprise cloud technologies such as Dynamics 365 CRM, Office 365, Microsoft Azure.
Additional Considerations
Experience in the COV Power Platform environment.
Experience with Power Platform integrations such as DocuSign or SharePoint.
Experience Administering a DocuSign environment.
Experience with DocuSign and integrating DocuSign with Power Platform.
Proven experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
Experience in analysis, design development, testing and implementation of enterprise scale apps.
Experience with API or services integrations and multiple data sources connectivity.
Experience and knowledge of developing Azure logic apps and functions as well as providing Power BI development and support.
Proficient in software development using .Net, C#, ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Experience with SQL and RDBMS technologies.
