Description:
**Hybrid Onsite | 3 days per week onsite in mid-town Manhattan**

As a Senior ETL QA Engineer, you will be involved throughout the development lifecycle with particular responsibility for the quality assurance of software development and deployment, with emphasis on manual test case creation and execution. You will work closely with developers to ensure requirements are met with the correct quality standards and conduct manual tests to ensure the software created is fit for purpose. You will also be responsible for creating, executing, and managing test cases for various kinds of testing such as functional, end-to-end, integration, and regression, along with proper reporting and tracking of bugs

Pay: $50 - $57/hr W2

Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of cross-functional, passionate Agile project teams to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition through delivery.
  • Translate functional requirements and specifications into documented test plans, cases, and steps.
  • Peer review test cases and ensure test coverage.
  • Conduct exploratory testing.
  • Execute functional test plans manually.
  • Create and maintain test data, tools, and scripts.
  • Contribute toward predictable delivery of quality releases.
  • Identify issues, risks, and dependencies, escalating and managing where appropriate.
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams.
  • Collaborate with Automation Engineers to ensure proper Smoke and Regression test suites are built and create required Test Cycle Summary and additional reporting.

Experience Requirements:
Mandatory Skills in Summary:

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
  • 7+ years of overall testing experience as a lead QA engineer supporting enterprise web applications.
  • 4+ years of DB/ETL processes/Data Warehouse Testing experience.
  • Experience in Batch Testing.
  • Experience in EDI Testing.
  • Experience in File Ingestion Testing and Data Quality Testing.
  • Experience using Python programming to automate data quality checks, data profiling, and anomaly detection.
  • Proven experience in writing and executing manual test cases (functional, end-to-end, integration, etc.).
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC and QA processes in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of testing fundamentals and test case design techniques.
  • Ability to discover, integrate, and organize test data by implementing an effective Test Data Management Strategy.
  • Proficient with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Zephyr for JIRA).
  • Ability to write intermediate to complex SQL scripts to create and manipulate data, with experience in data migration testing.
  • Functional knowledge of databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with DDL, DML, and DQL SQL syntaxes, functions, joins, and operators.
  • Experience with database validations and data quality testing.
  • Ability to understand applications, batch flows, and associated services in relation to service levels and impacts.
  • Proficient in utilizing an enterprise scheduling solution (e.g., IBM Workload Scheduler) to monitor and manage batch processing.
  • Operational experience with file transfer protocols such as FTP and SFTP.
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience in Reports Testing using Business Objects, Crystal Reports, or similar.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships across teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.


Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.


Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
