Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Woodland Hills, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a strong technical background who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Prioritize tasks and ensure the team is equipped with clear, actionable work items.
Engage with developers and architects to address technical needs, including managing and organizing technical debt documentation.
Utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage workflows and maintain project transparency.
Conduct gap analyses to identify areas for improvement in business processes and technical solutions.
Partner with engineering teams to support Agile workflows and ensure smooth execution of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs) and process flows.
Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure mutual understanding and project success.
Support testing efforts such as A/B testing and quality assurance to validate system functionality.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a software or application-specific environment.
Proficiency with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Experience conducting gap analyses and creating business requirement documents (BRDs).
Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and reporting.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Self-starter with the ability to adapt to dynamic and occasionally chaotic environments.
Background in eCommerce is a plus but not required.
