- Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective application programming solution.
- Develops, documents, and follows standard coding practices.
- Comprehensively tests, including negative/regression testing, to prevent re-work.
- Provides comprehensive consultation to business units and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of data integration processes and data management.

responsibilities:
Responsibilities: Application Development team members within the Quality Apps Support team are responsible for the following:
- Design, Develop and enhance new and existing backend application components and ETL processes including creation and modifying of stored procedures, SQL Job, SSIS packages, API's.
- Work with data from multiple sources including relational databases like SQL Server, Teradata, and flat files.
- Analyze and enhance SQL queries to improve performance, ensuring that queries/stored procedures are efficient, scalable, and align with best practices.
- Validate data consistency, accuracy, and completeness within SQL code/Stored procedures and troubleshoot issues related to data integrity across sources.
- Strong debugging skills and able to identify and fix the issues/bugs identified in the Code/Stored Procedures.
- Creation of necessary technical documentation based on implementation details.
- Conduct development work required in a comprehensive manner consistent with our best practices and standards
- Coordinate with systems analyst and other developers on technical delivery
- Proactively learn ways to improve systems, reducing costs and maximizing opportunities
qualifications:
Required:
- 7+ years of advanced T-SQL (complex JOINs, subqueries, stored procedures, indexes, temp tables and CTEs, query optimization is a MUST). MS SQL is a must. TD SQL is desired but not required.
- 5+ years of functional testing and regression/negative testing
- 3+ years of Intermediate to advanced SSRS (hands on dev experience with drilldowns, drillthroughs, dynamic groupings, document maps, single dataset for multiple controls etc.)
- 5+ years of intermediate to advance SSIS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Logical, detail-oriented team player who learns quickly and has the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast paced environment
