Systems/Infrastructure Engineer (Kubernetes focused)

Jersey City or NYC 3x hybrid per week

12-month contract to hire

Moving into Kubernetes - looking for Kubernetes Engineer - building and developing operators, knowledge of linux fundamentals, experience building the K8's / Kubernetes clusters (open shift is a plus), onboarding into cluster space, configure helm charts, understanding ELK stack, Cluster hardening, CRD's, PCI/compliance, etc.

Top skills they must have - fundamental Kubernetes, CRD, Cluster build management
Need to be able to build the cluster where the PaaS can be deployed Using Azure for the cloud - They don't care if someone has AWS or Google Cloud Platform, The Team does not matter.

This request is to hire an experienced developer to join the App Engine Core Engineering Team that is responsible for building, managing, and maintaining the PaaS services for de facto on-prem and Cloud container platform. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes to join our dynamic and innovative technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system engineering, with a focus on containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters to support our mission-critical applications and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters using best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of Kubernetes clusters.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and containerized applications.
  • Implement and maintain security and compliance policies for Kubernetes clusters.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
