Actuarial Business Analyst P&C insurance (FTE ONLY) Location: Should be based in Ohio, the role is remote. About the Role:

One of our Client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to support actuarial and data modernization initiatives for our P&C insurance (Property & Casualty Insurance) business.

The position involves collaboration with actuarial, data engineering, and business teams to ensure accurate, efficient, and scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience is required in Property & Casualty Insurance actuarial work and business analysis.
  • Perform actuarial analyses to support pricing, reserving, forecasting, and portfolio monitoring for P&C lines of business.
  • Develop and maintain data models to support actuarial processes and reporting.
  • Conduct experience studies, trend analyses, and exposure analyses using modern data tools.
  • Support rate filings, model documentation, and regulatory submissions.
  • Build reports and dashboards that communicate actuarial insights to senior management, underwriting, and risk teams.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and implement data warehouse (DWH) solutions, ensuring actuarial data is structured for advanced analytics.
  • Contribute to modernization efforts by migrating actuarial data from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to validate assumptions and ensure alignment with business strategies.
  • Stay updated on emerging data technologies, regulatory changes, and best practices in actuarial analytics.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. Total work experience required to qualify for this role in more than 10 years.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with data warehousing (DWH) concepts and tools.
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques for actuarial and analytical purposes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS for data manipulation and Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
