IT Healthcare Consultant - Software Engineer - Consultant
Project Duration: 12 Months
Work Location: Columbia, South Carolina (On-site)
Candidate Location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
Hours/Week: 40 Hours
Work Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
Job Summary
The Software Developer will serve as an on-site resource for the Medicaid Management System (MMS) project, working closely with business analysts, subject matter experts, the Technical Lead, Quality Manager, system integrators, designated vendors, and the Enterprise Services team to meet project objectives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, Technical Science or five years of equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of technical experience with Python, JavaScript/Angular/ReactJS and JSON, Rest API s using Django/Fast API, SQL/No-SQL databases.
- Medicaid system project experience
- Experience writing complex SQL queries
- Experience in AWS
- Experience with profiling and troubleshooting software defects and fixing them.
- Experience delivering in waterfall, scrum, agile, and other methodologies
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance principles and processes
- Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) experience
- Experience in Django or similar python web frameworks.
- Any UI/UX certification.
- Development experience with any Rules Engines.
