MCAPS AI Transformation (AIT) focuses on making sure sellers, customers, and partners have the skills, systems, and tools to take share more effectively and efficiently. We drive scale and efficiency with prioritized solution plays aligned with Microsoft Customer Engagement Methodology (MCEM), regionalized marketing, and operational centers of excellence.

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join ourAIT Customer Zero AI Innovation team. As a Senior AI Engineer, you would implement architectural changes and influence roadmap of relevant software and platform components to enable AI Solutions and Product Integration for MCAPS Businesses. You will also play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data acquisition and metadata-driven orchestration pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Explore and innovate in areas such as Generative AI, vision, multi-modality, ML Feature Store, first party API integration.
• Implement architectural changes and influence the roadmap of relevant software and platform components to enable AI solutions and product integration for MCAPS businesses.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers & Product Managers to design sophisticated AI solutions leveraging first party products and platforms.
• Partner with first party product and platform teams to build key capabilities that can be leveraged to create AI Skills, Plugins and Copilot experiences.
• Drive the exploration of new applications and use cases for advanced AI models and ML technologies.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements AI Platforms, Products and Libraries.
• Ability to continually ramp up on latest deep learning model architectures/algorithms, Open AI enhancements and large language models (LLM) directions.
• Develop and maintain data acquisition pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Implement metadata-driven orchestration pipelines to ensure scalability and flexibility.
• Develop complex transformation logic in Azure Databricks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions accordingly.
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Implement best practices for data quality, security, and compliance.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Platform and Product Engineering, API Development and Data Engineering.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep Knowledge of LLMs including Microsoft Azure Open AI products and services.
• Experience in multimodal modeling, in the setting of both research and engineering development.
• Proficient in C#, Python, and SQL.
• Expertise in developing transformation logic using Pyspark and Spark SQL in Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse.
• Proven experience in building acquisition and metadata-driven orchestration pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
