EPIC, our Engineering, Product, Innovation, and Cloud teams - is a very important group here at UKG. These UKrewers are the driving force behind our cutting-edge technology, dedicated to delivering best-in-class solutions that transform how our customers work. With a passion for excellence, EPIC members continuously push boundaries and strive to make a real impact in the world.

We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead an experienced software development team within the Suite Experience Home Hub value stream based in Weston Florida. This group develops and maintains Design Language System, develops common UI components working closely with User Experience design team for our enterprise Suite products and helps users with consistent user experience while navigating between various products.

This position ensures that software products are delivered on time with excellent quality, and will be a part of our global engineering management team within our SaaS/Google Cloud platform, UKG HCM PRO and Dimensions.

About the role:

You will,

Manage an integrated (development & QA) team of 6-8 people
Support the Agile (Scrum) software development process
Responsible for effectiveness of the team and its evolution to being fully self-managed through coaching and collaboration. Provide frequent feedback and create opportunities for growth
Deliver high quality software development projects on time and ensure technical excellence of the solutions
Collaborate with other stakeholders within the organization from the Development, Product Management, UX teams, Project Management Office, and Support teams. High degree of matrix management and ability to influence others
Put in place best practices in software development
Understand technical implications of issues/impediments and set direction effectively. Resolve diverse and complex issues and situations
Navigate through a large organization and complex processes while still driving process improvements
Dev QA and management of remote/offshore teams

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience

5+ years' of hands-on experience in software UI development; Java highly preferred

3+ years' experience in a software UI development management role

Experience in managing web-based application development

Must be experienced in an Agile (Scrum) environment

The ability to be onsite in our Weston office 3 days per week, as of the first week of employment

Knowledge about packaging/distributing components across the org

Familiar with Angular, NodeJS, npm ecosystem, CSS/HTML etc

Experience with a cloud product/technology, and multilayered architecture
