Position Summary:

Leads the Enable Hub for Nestl's Zone North America Procurement organization. This is a strategic position that is responsible for ensuring Procurement continues to deliver best-in-class strategic sourcing services, fueled by digital and empowered by people. Charged with optimizing and accelerating the organization, the Enable Hub is the Procurement organization's Center of Excellence. In this role, you will play a pivotal role by overseeing the following capabilities and teams: Functional Strategy, Mergers, Divestitures & Acquisitions Management, Functional Development, Optimization & Portfolio Management, and Analytics & Digital Solutions. This role is responsible for driving a culture of continuous optimization and improvement in Procurement and developing strong stakeholder relationships across the business. You will use your strategic mindset, superior executive presence, organizational savvy, and knowledge of the industry and market trends to enable Procurement excellence. Collaboration both locally and globally, as well as across functions, is crucial to align strategies and drive organizational success.

This is a Hybrid role that will require the candidate to live in or relocate to Solon, OH or Arlington, VA.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the functional strategy for procurement, aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • Lead and manage a diverse team across multiple campuses, fostering a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Drive optimization and portfolio management initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Oversee the potential and active MD&A activities within the function to ensure seamless integration or transition, contributing to the revenue generation.
  • Collaborate locally and globally to align procurement strategies, ensuring consistency and maximizing synergies across regions and markets.
  • Foster strong collaboration across functions such as technical & production, finance, supply chain, and legal, to ensure alignment and integration of procurement strategies and initiatives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of analytics and digital solutions to enhance procurement processes, data-driven decision-making, and supplier relationship management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the procurement function, driving functional development initiatives, talent management, and capability building.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness and impact of procurement initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to senior leadership. Deliver value through cost and process improvement initiatives to multiple business units in accordance with established targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance across the entire Hub, reporting progress to the Chief Procurement Officer and senior leadership team.
  • Serve as a People Manager:
    • Create an effective and supportive work environment and culture by communicating clear objectives, fostering teamwork, recognizing performance, and providing on-the-job coaching to employees
    • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the team, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and ensuring their professional growth and development.
    • Delegate responsibilities with a focus on creating opportunities for employees to gain critical skills and experience professional growth
    • Inspire and motivate Enable Hub team members to take calculated risks, challenge the status quo, and improve performance
    • Provide on-going mentoring to improve bench strength competences and succession plans, training others to be successful coaches to their teams and peers.

Experience & Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration/Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, or Industrial Engineering
  • 10+ years of sourcing, purchasing and/or material management, technical/manufacturing experience and/or or equivalent experience required (organizational strategy, centers of excellence)
  • 8+ years of leadership and managerial experience in complex organization, including managing teams of senior professionals and establishing performance expectations
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with global procurement and sourcing processes, legal contract negotiations, and contract management systems
  • SAP, Ariba, and I-Nexus experience preferred
  • Proven track record of developing and executing functional and/or business strategies that deliver measurable business results, including cost savings, risk mitigation, and customer or supplier performance improvement
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships with and influence a dynamic and diverse set of stakeholders, including the ability to listen and understand differing perspectives
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team across multiple campuses, driving collaboration, inclusivity, and achieving common goals
  • Proven experience in developing and nurturing talent, ensuring the professional growth and success of team members
  • Strategic mindset with quantitative, problem-solving, project management, and negotiation skills and a strong desire for progress and continuous improvement
  • Experience in implementing and leveraging digital solutions, such as advanced analytics, automation, and supplier collaboration platforms
  • Proven ability to analyze and present findings in a clear and cohesive manner
  • Adept at managing change and working through ambiguity to identify and drive to a solution, both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise across boundaries and boarders and influence with integrity
  • Demonstrated strength in negation & persuasive writing/speaking
  • Strong execution ability and sense of urgency
  • Solution oriented, with skills to synthesize and simplify complex ideas
