IAM Security Engineer
Location: Hybrid -Eagan, MN (2 days onsite per week, Tue-Thu)
Duration: ASAP start through end of year; extension possible

About the Role
Client is seeking a skilled IAM Security Engineer to strengthen enterprise security through expert management of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems. This role focuses on Privileged Access Management (PAM), automation, and secure integration across infrastructure and development teams. You'll lead initiatives using CyberArk, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and scripting tools to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant access controls.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain IAM solutions across enterprise systems
Collaborate with developers to embed IAM requirements into application development
Monitor and audit access rights to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
Lead technical guidance on IAM best practices and participate in cross-functional security initiatives
Analyze infrastructure growth requirements and constraints to support long-term scalability
Provide work direction and daily oversight to assigned team members
Conduct feasibility studies and cost/time analysis for new or existing projects
Develop frameworks for integrating changes to technical standards
Ensure system security, stability, and recoverability through complex infrastructure interactions
Lead or contribute to major enterprise-wide installations, upgrades, and process changes
Create and maintain detailed documentation and architecture diagrams
Stay current on IAM trends, emerging threats, and mitigation strategies
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours system support
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in IAM and infrastructure security
Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, and SSO integration
Advanced proficiency with CyberArk PAM solutions
Strong scripting skills in Python and PowerShell for automation and process optimization
Proven ability to support and maintain IAM platforms and tools
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
Experience collaborating with software developers and understanding SDLC methodologies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Knowledge of industry-standard IAM methodologies and frameworks
Advanced understanding of enterprise technologies and architectures
