Job Title: React Engineer UI/UX Focused
Location: Stamford, CT and Rye, NY
Duration: Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using React.js
- Translate UI/UX designs, wireframes, and prototypes into high-quality, reusable code
- Ensure pixel-perfect implementation and consistent user experience across browsers and devices
- Collaborate with UX designers, product owners, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and accessibility
- Maintain and improve existing UI components and design systems
- Implement best practices for state management, component architecture, and testing
- Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards typical of financial services
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design critiques
- Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
- Strong expertise in React.js, including hooks, functional components, and modern patterns
- Proven experience building UI-intensive applications with strong attention to UX details
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API, etc.)
- Familiarity with UI component libraries and/or building custom design systems
- Experience working in financial services, banking, or hedge fund environments (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of performance optimization and browser rendering
- Experience with REST APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies
