Job Overview

Responsible for planning, strategy, optimization, and design of multi-cloud infrastructure and services. Defines cloud architecture based on security standards and best practices, analyzes technologies, and translates business requirements into cloud designs. A key member of the Enterprise Architecture team, responsible for defining enterprise cloud standards and the modernization roadmap. Collaborates with IT and business functions to ensure alignment of business requirements and integration of cloud solutions. Leads cloud migration from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning to identify enterprise business drivers and translate them into technology architecture requirements.

  • Analyze system requirements and ensure secure integration with existing applications.

  • Monitor industry, technology, and market trends to assess their impact on the enterprise.

  • Analyze current business and IT environments to identify critical deficiencies.

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise cloud and infrastructure roadmap aligned with business objectives.

  • Define and enforce cloud architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.

  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams in developing implementation plans based on prioritized requirements.

  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of high-performance cloud environments.

  • Design and implement cloud-native architectures following Well-Architected Framework principles.

  • Lead the design of cloud-based identity management solutions and migrate on-premise Active Directory and SSO to Azure Entra ID.

  • Integrate cloud infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines and implement scalable, secure architectures.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and DevOps tools to drive automation and operational efficiency.

  • Build, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

  • Collaborate with product development, security, and other teams to ensure best practices and consistency across environments.

  • Mentor and lead Cloud and DevOps engineers, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Develop a monitoring and observability roadmap with AI Ops support and tool rationalization.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure, high-performing cloud architecture on AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud.

  • Experience in multi-cloud strategies, hybrid deployments, and workload optimization.

  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Bicep, Oracle Resource Manager).

  • Strong knowledge of IAM, Azure Entra ID, AWS IAM, Oracle IDCS, encryption, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, CIS, etc.).

  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, OKE), and microservices architectures.

  • Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Oracle Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK).

  • Experience in cloud cost optimization strategies and tools.

  • Strong experience with complex networks, security management, and routing.

  • Ability to document and diagram technical systems and architectures.

  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment and build positive relationships.

  • Strong grammar, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and resolve conflicts when necessary.

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, if required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent; Master’s preferred.

  • 8–10+ years of experience in cloud systems architecture design and/or support in a medium-to-large environment.

  • Extensive experience in leading DevOps initiatives, creating CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.

  • Strong background in cloud security, compliance, and identity management.

  • Certifications:

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional)

    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certified Architect Professional

    • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
