Description:
Android Engineering Lead - Authentication & Platform Health
We're looking for a seasoned Android Engineering Lead to drive development across our Authentication (Log In) domain. This role spans technical leadership, mentorship, and hands-on development, with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and production health.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of 8 Android engineers across 4 agile squads
Own code quality through rigorous code reviews, design governance, and technical standards
Provide technical guidance and career development support to junior engineers
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable login experiences
Manage post-release health, including incident response and client escalations
Represent engineering in stakeholder meetings and technical deep-dives
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in native Android development using Kotlin, Java, and Android Studio
Proven track record of shipping production-grade apps to the Google Play Store

Strong understanding of authentication protocols, security best practices, and platform health monitoring
Experience with RESTful APIs, MVVM architecture, and unit testing frameworks
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and networking
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and 2-week sprint cycles
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and resolve technical issues
Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Exposure to Swift and iOS development is a plus (cross-platform awareness)
