Job Details

Title: AWS Architect + Project Manager

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 6 Months Hybrid

On-site requirement:

    • First 2 months: 2 days/week in Chicago (8 visits/month).
    • Afterward: 2 visits/month; rest remote.

Requirement

ONE senior-level AWS Architect + Project Manager (PM/SME hybrid) to lead a full migration for a retail client with 8,000+ employees headquartered in Chicago.

Scope

  • Migrate all workloads from on-prem + Azure to AWS.
  • Current stack includes:
    • 25 TB of data
    • 15 SharePoint portals
    • ERP system
    • CRM
    • E-commerce portal
    • 8 legacy Delphi applications
  • Migration is not a simple lift-and-shift: deeply integrated systems requiring modernization.

Duration & Engagement Structure

  • Estimated 6 months, but flexible depending on SME s plan.
  • 30 40 hours/week, hourly billing model.
  • On-site requirement:
    • First 2 months: 2 days/week in Chicago (8 visits/month).
    • Afterward: 2 visits/month; rest remote.

Collaboration Model

  • The SME appears as part of partner team.
  • Resource must function as AWS Architect + PM
  • partner technical team will work beneath the SME to implement the plan.
  • Entuc suggests using a separate PM plus lead architect (best practice) but understands the client s requirement for a single point of contact.
