Description

SAIC is seeking Mission Engineer to support SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

As the Mission Engineer you will support the planning and testing of GEOINT integrated products and multi-intelligence (multi-INT) software services for Combatant Commands and other DoD components. You will also assist and advise Government managers responsible for the complete end-to-end lifecycle of the customer's Ground Enterprise. The role includes defining key technology demonstrations and integrating them into regional exercises.

Responsibilities to include:
  • Support technical and programmatic interchanges; identify and resolve issues; provide engineering and technical advice to achieve innovative capabilities for overhead and tactical resources to close defined kill-chains.
  • Support task planning and execution to demonstrate the integration of GEOINT technical products, evolving automation of GEOINT Computer Vision, MTI data, and communication infrastructure management programs; develop and evaluate system trades and interfaces throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Apply systems analysis and tactical operations methodology assessments to identify key performance indicators, measures, and means for the architectural runway and efficiency trade-offs against current performance metrics for the kill-chain lifecycle.
  • Develop briefings and documentation material for Program/Project Manager's engagements, including creating technical roadmaps that align with project goals.
  • Participate in user engagement teams, stakeholders, and mission partners, working alongside other LANDMARK AOS staff, including world-class System Engineers, Acquisition Engineers, and Domain Experts to lead the customer in demonstrating capabilities of modern processing applications.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
  • Strong knowledge of software architectures, spacecraft ground systems, and processes for intelligence mission management, collection, and analysis.
  • Managing technical and schedule performance, internal/external interfaces, and risks.
  • Supporting system architecture, design, or development in a secure cloud environment.
  • Domain knowledge in Agile software development practices and cloud computing architectures.
  • Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments.
  • Strong oral and written communications to support interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, external stakeholders, and development contractors at all levels in a high-tempo environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
