Location --- Remote

Duration --- 6+ Months

Job requirement:

    • Role is remote (must be comfortable working Central Time hours).
      • There is the occasional late-night or early-morning call to coordinate with Europe or Asian facilities.

    • Required:
      • Must have very strong knowledge of Genetec Security Center.
      • Must have experience executing large deployments with Genetec.
      • Flexibility in years of experience (ideally targeting 5+ years and more seasoned professionals).
      • Experience with security domain is a MUST.
      • Must have strong communication and documentation skills.
    • Preferred:
      • Genetec certification is HIGHLY PREFERRED!
      • Bachelor's degree is nice to have, not required.
    • Interview Process:
      • Likely 2 rounds of interviews.
    • Contract:
      • Good possibility of extension or possible FTE conversion down the road.

  • Job Description:

  • The role involves serving as the technical lead for deployments and upgrades of access control solutions at AbbVie locations, which includes documenting and understanding technical requirements, partnering with infrastructure and network groups, building and updating documentation, supporting system integrators, managing software and hardware installations, and creation of deliverables for gate review meetings.

  • The person will also be responsible for continuing to improve our toolkit and templates for site-based deployments. These are mission-critical systems that require thoughtful care and attention, to ensure that all AbbVie colleagues are safe and secure while on site

  • Years of experience/education and/or certifications required:

  • Genetec certification (current)

  • Experience deploying access control and surveillance systems

  • Experience with infrastructure and software maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Experience with network communications protocols

  • 5-10 years of work experience

  • What are the top 3-5 skills requirements this person should have?

  • Strong communication and client service skills

  • Strong documentation and lifecycle/SLC skills

  • Sense of urgency and agency - acts like an owner

  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent project workstreams

  • Very strong knowledge of application, infrastructure and network setup for security systems
