Job Details

We are seeking a Mainframe Developer with excellent DB2 skills to join our team on a full-time contract basis. This role is hybrid, 2 days onsite and 3 days remote each week. The position is focused on analysis, design, coding, and testing for various applications supported by the Application Team.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze, design, code, and test application code owned by the Apps Team

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Application Architects, and other team members to ensure requirements are met

  • Develop program specification requirements and deliver new or modified programs

  • Conduct unit testing and participate in system testing with users

  • Provide technical expertise and collaborate with the ITO and ATCSU units

  • Develop supportive documentation for programs

  • Participate in database conversions and provide production support

What You'll Need

Required:

  • 5 years of experience in COBOL/CICS/DB2 coding, testing, and debugging

  • Experience with IBM OS/JCL (MVS) and IBM/DB2

  • Strong experience in Stored Procedures

  • Experience with CICS, including coding, testing, and debugging

  • Experience in usability testing with users

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study

  • Experience in conversions from IDMS/DC to CICS and IDMS to DB2
