We are seeking a Mobile Device Test Automation Engineer for one of our valuable clients. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in mobile device testing, test automation, and wireless technologies, with hands-on exposure to LTE and 5G RF and Core networks.
Role: Mobile Device Test Automation Engineer
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Experience: 8 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mobile device test automation using tools such as Spirent or Eggplant
- Execute functional, regression, and performance testing on mobile devices
- Manage activation and deactivation of test samples
- Compile and analyze test results data to identify issues and trends
- Collect and analyze logs using tools such as QXDM or XCAL
- Perform issue investigation, root cause analysis, and provide detailed findings
- Prepare and deliver engineering reports to OEMs and other fix agents
- Work closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD and automation workflows
- Utilize JIRA and Confluence for defect tracking, documentation, and reporting
- Ensure effective communication with cross-functional and global teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in product development and/or technology management roles
- 3+ years of experience in mobile and/or wireless technologies
- Strong understanding of LTE and 5G RF and Core technologies
- Hands-on experience with Mobile Device Test Automation tools (Spirent or Eggplant)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices
- Experience with log collection and analysis tools (QXDM, XCAL)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong experience using JIRA and Confluence
Nice to Have:
- Experience working directly with OEMs and chipset vendors
- Exposure to large-scale mobile device certification programs
- Understanding of end-to-end mobile network architecture and workflows
