Title: Senior Ab-Initio Developer
Location: Whippany, NJ (Hybrid 2 days onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months
Rate: OPEN
Visa Status: TN, USA
Relevant Experience: 10+ Years

 

Job Description:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio GDE and related components.
  • Integrate and transform data from multiple sources ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver robust ETL solutions.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines.
  • Conduct code reviews, maintain documentation, and ensure data quality and governance.
  • Implement best practices for ETL and data warehouse development.
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment for continuous delivery and improvement.
 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 8+ years of total experience in IT with at least 5+ years of hands-on Ab Initio development.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Expertise in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Experience with scheduling tools (Autosys, Tivoli, Control-M).
  • Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Impala).
  • Working knowledge of AWS Cloud.
 

Technical Skills:

  • Ab Initio: GDE, EME, Conduct>It, Express>It
  • Meta-programming, parallelism, and performance tuning
  • SMP/MPP architectures
  • Debugging and quality processes
  • XML, JSON, Java, Python, Perl (optional)

Must-Have Skills:

  • Ab Initio (GDE, EME, Conduct>It, Express>It)
  • ETL Design and Development / Data Warehousing
  • SQL and Performance Tuning on Oracle/Teradata
