Title: Senior/Lead UX Researcher R&D

*About the Role:*
7-Eleven is redefining convenience, and we re looking for a Lead/Senior UX Researcher to help shape the future! You ll drive research and experimentation initiatives that inform the design of customer-facing and internal digital products.
This role blends behavioral science, data analysis, and product strategy to deliver insights that fuel innovation.
*Responsibilities:*
Design and lead end-to-end UX research using mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative).
Develop research roadmaps, documentation, and repositories to scale insights across teams.
Conduct literature reviews and create theory-informed briefs to guide product decisions.
Define success and guardrail metrics; perform power analyses, randomization, and statistical testing (e.g., t-tests, regression, ANOVA).
Use tools like SQL, Python, or R to clean, model, and visualize experimental data.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
Present findings through compelling storytelling tailored to diverse audiences.
Facilitate workshops using service design principles to align stakeholders.
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to shape strategic roadmaps.
Stay current with research and development tools, behavioral science, and experimentation best practices.
*Qualifications:*
Master s or PhD in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Cognitive Science, HCI, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
5+ years of applied UX research experience, with a strong portfolio of A/B and multivariate testing in digital products.
Expertise in experimental design, statistical analysis, and survey methodology.
Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R, Mixpanel, and/or Databricks for data analysis and visualization, and remote research platforms such as Usertesting.com, dscout, MUIQ, Qualtrics, and/or Alchemer.
Strong communication and storytelling skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
Experience with personas, journey mapping, service design, and workshop facilitation.
Self-starter with a client-service mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity.
Demonstrated curiosity and commitment to continuous learning.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
Experience in retail, e-commerce, or convenience tech.
Background in business strategy, marketing, or innovation.
Familiarity with web analytics (e.g., Adobe Analytics, GA4) and experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, LaunchDarkly).
Consulting experience or vendor management.
Published research, white papers, or a portfolio showcasing impact.
