Security Program Manager

Atlanta, GA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development, implementation, and tracking of cybersecurity programs and initiatives.

  • Coordinate cross-functional security projects (e.g., identity management, data loss prevention, SOC integration, vulnerability management).

  • Partner with IT, legal, HR, and compliance teams to ensure alignment of security controls and processes with enterprise goals.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, resource allocation, and executive status reporting.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with security initiatives and technologies.

  • Maintain awareness of current and emerging security threats and industry trends.

  • Lead internal security audits and support external assessments (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.).

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for program effectiveness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 5 10 years of experience in information security, project management, or IT leadership roles.

  • Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, PCI-DSS).

  • Experience managing cross-functional technical projects or programs.

  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or PMP-certified a plus).

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational skills.
