As a Part-Time Student Data Engineer for Deere & Company World Headquarters located in Moline, IL or Champaign, IL, you will develop expertise in big data and streaming technologies, and leverage these to create a Scalable Data & Analytics solutions. - Develop new functionality/code for high-volume data processes
- Participate in discussions/decisions regarding future engineering direction, as well as evaluation, prioritization, and elimination of technical debt
- Develop and enhance data quality for large scale analytic data environments
- Provide expertise to resolve critical, complex technical issues around Big Data and Analytic technology
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with existing source data teams, Data and Analytic platform teams, business analytics teams

What Skills You Need
- Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in an IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or similar STEM Major.
- Must be registered as a full-time student at local accredited college/university
- Graduation date of December 2026 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly
- Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly
- Must be able to commute to the work location in Champaign, Illinois, on a as needed basis year-round (NOTE: Relocation assistance is not provided.)
- Exposure to Data Engineering, ETL, Data Warehousing or other data movement applications
- Exposure to design, development, testing and integration of high complex software utilizing Java, Scala, Node, TypeScript or Python
- Exposure to an Agile/Scrum team environment
What Makes You Standout
- Exposure to multiple Data Warehouse systems or Data Lake technology, with demonstrated success in Big Data Technologies such as Databricks, Palantir, SPARK and AWS S3.
- Exposure to cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
