Summary

The Senior IT Technology Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to manage IT/OT risks, ensuring compliance with standards and alignment with organizational goals. The position involves deploying and maintaining endpoint security solutions (e.g., Endpoint Detection and Response EDR, Antivirus AV), monitoring security posture, and coordinating incident response and remediation efforts. Key tasks include maintaining the IT Risk Register, producing detailed reports on risk metrics, and driving improvements in risk management and lifecycle management (LCM). The role also supports disaster recovery planning, audits, and compliance reviews, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to address risks across IT/OT operations. Oversight of service quality, incident management, and IT/OT solution lifecycles is a critical part of the role.

As a Senior IT Technology Specialist, a typical day might include the following:
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks in IT and OT environments.
  • Maintain and update the IT Risk Register to track risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance status.
  • Recommend and implement changes to systems and processes to enhance risk management capabilities.
  • Develop and manage endpoint security strategies, including EDR and AV solutions, to safeguard IT/OT environments and continuously monitor endpoint security posture, detect vulnerabilities, and execute remediation plans.
  • Provide oversight for major incidents, ensuring effective coordination of resolving parties and communication to stakeholders.
  • Serve as a backup for Disaster Recovery planning and execution, ensuring continuity of operations during critical events.
  • Support internal and external audits, providing detailed documentation of risk management practices.
  • Ensure IT/OT systems and processes comply with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the lifecycle process of IT/OT solutions, from initiation to transition, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Produce comprehensive reports detailing risk-related metrics, EDR performance, LCM updates, and operational KPIs.

This role may be for you if you have:
  • Excellent knowledge of the specific service discipline (i.e. Data center, Cloud, Network, Client Services etc.).
  • Service Management or support in a large-scale and diverse environment of incident management, escalation procedures and related disciplines
  • Deep experience with ITIL disciplines
  • Experience with operating systems (Microsoft Windows & Linux), VMware.
  • Experience with monitoring and security tools such as Splunk, Claroty and next Gen OT tools.
  • Problem determination (experience in root cause analysis) and problem resolution skills.
  • Experience working with 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered services.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a BS/BA in Information Technology or related field and
  • Senior: 5 years of experience delivering IT/OT services.
  • Principal: 8 years of experience delivering IT/OT services.
  • Strong GxP experience and experience in highly regulated environments required.
  • May consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred knowledge of IT compliance guidelines, including PICS, CFR21 Part 11, Annex 11, and GAMP.
