We are looking for a highly skilled Assembly Fixture Design Engineer with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and validating fixtures used in the manufacturing and testing of electromechanical medical systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical device regulations, precision engineering, and cross-functional collaboration. This position requires working on-site in Draper, UT and coordinating closely with manufacturing engineers and the Infosys offshore design team.
Responsibilities:
Develop assembly fixture concepts, create concept drawings, and perform tolerance stack-up analyses.
Create detailed CAD design models and 2D drawings and submit for release.
Coordinate with manufacturing engineers to gather data and design requirements.
Review design outputs and ensure delivery within project timelines.
Collaborate with the Infosys offshore team to review and finalize designs.
Support TFIQ activities, including qualification report documentation.
Participate in project planning, schedule management, and adherence to deliverables.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in medical device engineering, with at least 3 years in fixture design.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo (Pro-E).
Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and material selection.
Knowledge of FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP standards.
Experience with electromechanical systems, cleanroom environments, and validation protocols.

Duration: 6 months with possible extension
