The Managing Director, Enterprise Technology for Data Governance, Quality & Insights is the leader of technology teams supporting multiple business partner needs for Enterprise Data Governance business function. Technology executive responsible for leading the architecture, engineering, and operations of enterprise data governance, data quality, lineage, and master data management (MDM) platforms & tools. This role partners directly with the business leader for Enterprise Data Governance to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing technology platforms that enable trusted, governed, and compliant enterprise data. The Product owner also has accountability for the operational stability of IT solutions supporting their assigned business functions. This would include technical ownership of critical systems aligned with that business function.

Key responsibilities for the role:
  • Lead platform RFPs, tool evaluations, and implementation planning to ensure selection of scalable, secure, and business-aligned solutions for data governance, quality, lineage, and MDM. Drive end-to-end technology assessment including functional fit, architecture alignment, vendor diligence, and total cost of ownership.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery and support of enterprise platforms and tools for data governance, data quality, lineage, metadata, and MDM
  • Define and execute technology strategy aligned with enterprise data governance, risk, and compliance objectives.
  • Ensure data governance platforms are highly available, performant, and scalable to meet growing business needs.
  • Partner with business data governance leaders and data stewards to translate governance policies into technical implementation (e.g. rules, workflows, lineage mapping).
  • Oversee platform integrations with cloud data lakes, data warehouses, ERP, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
  • Govern vendor relationships, licensing, and product roadmaps with platform providers.
  • Establish strong DevSecOps practices for platform configuration, release, and monitoring.
  • Meet business goals - Products and solutions delivered by the team must meet the economic business goals jointly established by the business and technology teams
  • Lead the planning and delivery of major initiatives

Key skills/experience qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred
  • 15+ years in enterprise data and platform engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with platforms like Collibra, Informatica DQ, Alation, Ataccama, or Informatica MDM
  • Knowledge of cloud-native data architectures (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Expertise in metadata, data cataloging, data quality rules engine, and lineage tools
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, SOX, GDPR) and their impact on platform design
  • 10+ years of complex software development experience, at least 5 of which were in a supervisory capacity.
  • Extensive knowledge of system development life cycle, client area's functions, and systems and applications program development alternatives.
  • 5+years' experience managing teams supporting their assigned business domain.
  • Strong financial management and vendor management acumen.
  • Able to build successful relationships with all levels of staff and management.
  • Experience in product management lifecycle, background in Agile framework.
  • ITIL or DevOps/SRE operational experience preferred
  • Experience enabling federated data governance at scale preferred
  • Certifications: TOGAF, Collibra Ranger, CDMP, PMP preferred
  • Experience in banking/financial services preferred

The estimated salary range for this position is $170,000USD to $190,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
