Description

We are seeking an experienced Applications Architect to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role will be pivotal in leading the overall design and overseeing the implementation of a custom enterprise business management application. The successful candidate will work closely with product owners, business analysts, and the development team to ensure we design and deliver a robust, scalable, and performant application using the latest modern technologies and tools.

Responsibilities
Establishing technology standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and alignment across various projects and systems
Anticipating future business needs and technological advancements, and creating roadmaps guiding technology investments and adaptations
Evaluating emerging technologies, assessing new tools, frameworks, and platforms for suitability
Analyzing business needs and translating them into technical specifications
Delivering comprehensive system blueprints and diagrams to visualize the architecture and aid communication and decision-making
Selecting appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks to support system functionalities and scalability
Collaborating closely with software development teams to ensure successful execution of architectural designs
Monitoring project progress, addressing deviations, and ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines
Communicating technical proposals and solutions to stakeholders, including business leaders and project managers
Facilitating discussions and resolving conflicts between different stakeholders' expectations
Working with the QA team to conduct thorough testing and quality assurance procedures to identify and address performance issues and vulnerabilities
Implementing best practices for system optimization, scalability, and fault tolerance
Mentoring team members to enhance their technical skills and serve as the technical point of escalation
Establishing technical standards and best practices for development and architecture
Identifying opportunities for process optimization and automation
Leading initiatives to pilot new technologies and assess their feasibility for adoption
Overseeing the ongoing maintenance and evolution of the enterprise architecture, which involves assessing existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring architectural integrity

Requirements

Proficiency in Applications Architecture
Familiarity with Database and Database Administration
Experience with EO/IR systems
Knowledge of Linux Technologies
Proficiency in Microsoft and Microsoft Azure
Familiarity with Node and AB Testing
Experience with ASP.NET and Configuration Management
Strong skills in Design and Java
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
